We offer string arranging for all styles of music from solo violin, viola or cello to string quartet or a full string orchestra. Whether your piece is a ballad, rock or pop track, we produce genuinely creative music which fits the required style of your song perfectly. We work in close collaboration with you until you are happy with the score. Upon final approval of the score we provide professionally orchestrated sheet music, for each instrument, for use in the recording studio and/or live performances. Blue Moon Occasions also offers quality musicians to play and/or record your arrangement. Arrangement and notation fees depend on complexity and scale of your project. With real stringed instruments, there is the feeling of the up and down of the bow stroke, as well as slurred phrasing and staccato and spiccato – all of which are impossible to imitate artificially. A synthesizer sounds best when it is intended to sound like a synthesizer, but real strings have a unique quality, especially when combined with the creative input of experienced musicians. Since Blue Moon Occasions are professional string players –we know the ‘ins and outs’ of strings.
If you prefer, there is no need to meet in person. If parts need to be arranged or written by us this can be done collaboratively online. We will send a draft score for your approval and once you are satisfied, we will then send printed sheet music -score and parts. Additionally, you can simply upload and send your tracks which need strings and, upon your approval of our string arrangement, we can book ourselves into a local studio with an engineer and record the parts with live strings. The final recording will be sent to you, ready to be mixed with the rest of your track.
